Apparently Alphatykes ( www.alphatykes.com.au ) is looking to open up a centre in Adelaide next year.  It's quite pricey $18 for a half hour tot session 18mo-3years, $35 for 1 hour session 3-12 years.

However - if the program is effective in engaging toddlers / children in language learning because it's fun then perhaps it's worthwhile doing.
It started in Brisbane and has spread through the eastern states.  It's obviously taken off in Bris as there are lessons Mon-Sat in 3 languages in their main centre!!

Does anyone send their children there or know of other people sending their kids there?

If anyone in Adelaide is interested you should register your interest.  The more interested parents there are - the more chance we have of getting a centre here at the start of next year.

My name is Amy and I work at AlphaTykes. It is great that you are registering your interest with us! Please make sure you tell all of your friends who would be interested in the program to register too! The more interest we get, the sooner we can open a centre in Adelaide.

We have also launched our program into child care centres, providing the centres with the tools and support to fully recreate themselves as a bilingual centre where children are exposed to two languages almost every day. If your child care centre is interested, we can roll out the program there as early as Term 1, 2011!

Hi Amy,
I spoke to someone earlier in the year - and they said that Alphatykes was coming Term 1 next year to Adelaide, and that you just had to find a venue to hold the classes.  I was wondering if that is definitely the case or not?  Our kids are not getting any younger and I'm really keen to get my daughter into some sort of fun language class (still deciding on a language!)
