My son was born on early July 2008.
At 6 months I started Doman reading method, with flashcards in Romanian, that I made for him. After few days or weeks his "childish language" started to be more expressive. He has always been very talkative...
After a while I stopped, because he was having some health problems. From time to time, I've showed him flashcards (in Romanian) and he always liked the game.
He didn't have the patience to listen to me when I was reading children books, so I stopped.
He likes something interactive, games, activities, and watching interesting stuff, like YBCR. With YBCR, only after few weeks of watching, he has started to show and speak in English about parts of the body, and people and the words in his vocabulary are ever growing!
I've tried to show him Doman math flashcards, but he loved them more on the PC than on cardboard... so... I'm trying LM and he loves it!
WinktoLearn Chinese is another software we use, because Mandarin Chinese will be another language needed in the family. And he likes it too.
Now learning is really fun for all of us, not only for him, but for me too!
