Yes, the time is going so fast. I cannot believe myself!!!
Concerning educating my daughter, I kind of compromise. Because I think that emotional well being of her is as important as stimulating and growing her brain, I do not do as much as I possibly could... I just can not hear her beeing upset or crying.
So we are not as good at being on her belly because she does not like it and I do not want to force her. So we are not definitelly as much time on the belly and on the crawling track as we whould acording to method of Doman. I know she will one day get used to it - it is getting better almost every day.
Concerning her visual stimulation, I do a lot more than what I did with my first baby. I use baby stimulation cards, created many different posters and hang them around the rooms where my baby looks the most. I creted specific mobile with these cards. I created cubes with the black and white (and red) objects. I used plastic covers for almost everything so I can easily exchange old pictures for the new ones to have her stimulated with something new almost every day. I place her on white blanket with black objects printed on it.
I talk to her a lot and often let her talk to me which I did not do much with my first baby. And it really works because she TALKS to me back a lot (I wait for her answer). I already use sign language when talking to her. And she gets extra stimulation because her older sister loves to do what I do - show her pictures and name them, imitate sounds of animals, name parts of the body, play with lights, use puppets to pretend she has friends that have visited her
And she uses sign language, too.
I have a library of diferent sounds that I play to her identifying every single one. We also play often in front of the mirror and she laughs at herself in the mirror.
She wants me to hold her and carry her a lot that I do. But I also use great methods of Hervey Karp, US pediatrician that discovered how to calm a crying baby and how to triggre her calming reflex. The methods are miraculous and help a lot so I do not feel exhausted at all.
My baby smiles A LOT so I am sure she is happy!
And that is one of the most important things for me!!!
