Hi Y'all!
I thougt I'd share a couple of books I found recently that my boy enjoyed. I'm always looking for good books with big print. I just found a few today at the library and thought I'd share them with you. I'd love to hear what you find, too.
I was looking for books that would help him learn to read. Books with large print and few words.
One book was:
A Black Cat: An ABC Book (Boxer Concept Series) (Board book)
Here is a link to Amazon so you can see what it looks like:
http://www.amazon.com/Black-Cat-Book-Boxer-Concept/dp/1906250022/ref=pd_bxgy_b_img_bI like that it has pretty big letters and it has words on one page, followed by a page with a picture and a sentence using the words. There are other books in the Boxer Concept Series, but they don't all follow that pattern.
Another book we found at the library is:
Giant Pop-Out Shapes: A Pop-Out Surprise Book (Board book)
The Amazon link is:
http://www.amazon.com/Giant-Pop-Out-Shapes-Surprise-Book/dp/0811859215/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1239675038&sr=8-1This one wasn't so much for reading, but it was a fun book, great for learning shapes, and it does lable the shapes.
Well, those are just a couple of the newer finds I had. I still love the good oldies and baby boy likes the ones you can feel, like,
Farm (Baby Touch and Feel) (Board book) by DK Publishing (
http://www.amazon.com/Farm-Bay-Touch-Feel-Publishing/dp/0756634679/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1239675699&sr=1-4#) There are only a few words and nice touch-and-feel pictures.
I hope that is interesting to some. I'd love to hear what books you've found lately.
