A few years ago I was disgusted to find, in a McDonalds happy meal, a toy that plays the Veronicas song about a girl wanting to spend the night with her boyfriend. Those meals are designed for pre-school kids... I wouldnt want my teenage kids listening to that!
Today, I popped on a new Kids song/nursery rhyme cd I bought, and "Joy to the world/jeremiah was a bullfrog" came on. Pleasant enough until the part where the singer said she'd like to "make sweet love" to her partner. And said it more than once.
Who releases these songs? Isnt there a governing body that checks to see if everything is acceptable to the target audience??
Anyone else found this sort of thing?
