Water Fluoridation Lowers IQ

In December 2010, a study reporting an association with exposure to fluoride and lowered IQ in children was pre-published in the Journal of Hazardous Materials.

According to the authors, "our study suggested that low levels of fluoride exposure in drinking water had negative effects on children's intelligence and dental health and confirmed the dose–response relationships between urine fluoride and IQ scores as well as dental fluorosis." This study indicates a 5 point lowering in IQ as the fluoride level in drinking water went from about 0.3 ppm to 3.0 ppm.

Amazingly, as Dr. Connett states, there are no less than 23 more studies from four different countries indicating that even moderate exposure to fluoride lowers IQ in children.

Yes, flouride is very dangerous. Not only does it lower your child's IQ but it will and can destroy your thyroid. An organ you really want to keep in your body.
I wish I would have known the things I know now when I had my first two children. Heck even when I was a child and we were given flouride pills at school! Also stay clear of Bromine as well. You don't want brominated bread. Check labels for unbleached , unbrominated flour. Bromine is very dangerous to the body and is it in alot of the flours and breads and any products you eat that contain flour as an ingredient.
King Arthur Flour is one of a few flours that is unbrominated. 

Iodine is a nutrient that is lacking these days in the food supplies due to the fact that farmers use chemicals on the foods to keep pests away. Not only are those chemicals dangerous to our foods but they are also dangerous to the soil and takes out essential nutrients that were once in the soil 50 years ago.

Tracy, I feel the same way... wish I had known sooner all that I know now! Sorry about that, the part on the water has been fixed. Thank you for the tip on "Bromine", we try not to eat lots of gluten products either.

It seems more and more of our food supply in the U.S. has been altered contaminated poisoned. What have we become?? Ginny pigs? at the expense of major corporations making profits? Generations of American's poisoned, our poor kids!! We have to start thinking of how this effects our DNA?

I think we all are guinea pigs. All so these large corporations can make more money. Its so very sad. I suffer from thyroid disease and its just as awful as having cancer. You suffer everyday. Your body shuts down.
 Even those on synthetic drugs suffer because the large pharmasutical companies push Synthroid on people. Its a horrible medication that destroys your body.

To me its a big circle. The food corporations  poision us, shove toxins into the air and ground. Then our bodies get diseased and big pharma comes in as the white horse and pushes dangerous medications on people. So everyone profits except the poor sick person.
It sounds way out there but I have learned this to be so very true.

My husband was watching EWTN ( catholic channel) and Father Carapi was preaching about what it was like 50 years ago. The air was cleaner, the water was cleaner and today we have laws for pollution. Today our water and air is more toxic then it has ever been. He made a very good point.

Tracy, I completely agree that there is a major flaw in our system. Instead of promoting natural homeopathic treatment, they are pushing more drugs down your throat!! Thank you ladies for sharing all the great info.. Tracy I can't give you detailed info, but VIRGIN Coconut Oil, is excellent for people with Thyroid problems.  heck, it's actually  one of the best and healthiest oil, which has been marketed as a BAD oil.  Anyway, I am writing an article about it's health benefits and uses, but you can google health benefits of virgin coconut oil (coconut connections is the website I would go to).  There is a large amount of info on it.. I am also reading a book called Healing Miracles of Coconut Oil. Will update on that as well.

Oh and an FYI.. many hospitals have been known to give coconut oil to premature babies and sick patients to help recover.  Coconut is the 2nd best source for lauric acid (about 50%) after mother's milk and then it's dairy with 4% lauric acid.  It's also has antibacterial, anti fungal, antiviral properties.

Thanks for sharing. I do have Coconut oil here at home. I have read the benefits. I have been taking some of it but its been sitting on my counter later. Maybe need to try it again.
I'll also look into the other treatment. I can honestly say having thryoid problems is terrible. You literally suffer. Everytime I see someone who has it it breaks my heart because I know how they are suffering on the inside. Its one of those 'hidden' diseases. It literally affects everything in the body since the thyroid is the control center for the organs.
