Hi
Is your baby already on solid food or are you planning on starting them with baby cereal? Honestly for babies it's better to start them on food which is not processed such as fruit and vegetables that have been steamed and mashed. Your baby can eat whatever your family eats which is much easier than having specific baby food.
Here is a good article about introducing solids.
http://www.breastfeeding.asn.au/bfinfo/solids.htmlWe have started all our children on mashed pumpkin, avocado or whatever else we were having. We also added rice fairly early since we eat it several times a week. We also found that our babies always wanted what we were having anyway so it was easier and also meant that we were much more conscious of eating really healthy food which is always a good thing.
