Hi to the new Mom
I agree with Skylark that you've been already doing a great job since you are looking for what's best to your child.
From my humble experience, the best teaching tools that helped my baby are:
FOR THE PARENTS' INFORMATION:
- Brillkids and Brillbaby websites
- Glenn Doman Books:

- Books with clear pictures (try Priddy, DK, Usborne, and Eric Carle's, those are my favorite) Check your local library, you may find lots of them!
- LR and LM: are hands down, the best flashcard system you can use with your baby. I bought LR with English and Chinese curricula and LM. They ARE efficient. I wish I bought the Deluxe version though. We are about finishing the LR sem2 and I am thinking about starting all over again and adding the Deluxe version this time. You can also have a 10% off by using this coupon: BKAFF38056
- I didn't use YBCR program, although many recommend it. My baby has learnt to read with only LR. You may give it a try if you want.
- Another very important program is "Baby Signing Time" I think it helped my baby not only to express himself better but it tremendously enriched his vocabulary.
