Yeah, Nikita had it posted on her FB page. It's so sad.

This piece of news really frustrates me. I am not against online gaming or anything, but like in all things, these have to be done in moderation, not to the point of addiction. Virtual reality should never take away from real life, and this is just testament to how irresponsible some people are.

This really proves how addicting the internet can be. It happens very easily. But it is unbelievable that they would ignore their own baby for a virtual one. You would think a grandparent or some friend would have noticed the baby was not being cared for and intervene.

They must not have had close family. I mean when my son was that age I had family and friends knocking at my door to visit with the baby. Its too sad no one caught this before it ended this way

I worry so much with my children and spending time with them, it is hard to believe that someone is able to ignore a child to be playing on the Internet.

I know! At that age I felt guilty just spending 10mins to myself updating my open diary.

It really is unbeliebable. I never heard of this kind of parents. It is incredible, to the extreme of neglecting their child for a virtual one? What, they left him cring? Why not giving him to adoption.?

My husband and I have struggled with fertility. We know the ache so well of not having a child and wanting one. We were one of the fortunate couples who were able to make it happen and now have a child. However, articles and newscasts like this continue to break our hearts. There are so very many people who would have loved the chance to parent this child. Even now, 3 months later, my blood boils with anger over this and other stories like this.

It makes me wonder if this situation made it to the news how many other children are being neglected due to addictive behaviors and we never here about it. While the internet addiction is relatively new, people have had addictions as long as there have been people. I wish there was some sort of publicity campaign that could help alert the public to this situation and help get parents and children help while the children are still alive.

This is so awful. I can't believe people could do something so terrible. They must not have had any family or friends other than their online world.
