Yes, building one from the available files is next on my list. I haven't had time to complete it as yet but I have next week off so hopefully 
I might be able to help you by checking over your inclusions in the courses you select. If you are building a math course I can cross check it to ensure all the usual curriculum expectations for early schooling years are covered if you like. That wont take me long since i am a teacher it will be obvious to me. I think you might not need me to as you are a fairly thorough team already   but just offering in case you get stuck for ideas.
I have some questions firstly someone asked me for instructions on how to build courses and I can't find them in the forum, can someone post the link? I just figured it out but I can't expect everyone to do that now. 
Secondly is it possible to upload ( to share) completed courses or is the size of them going to make that completely unfeasible? Has anyone tried it yet? If I go to all the trouble to build useful courses I want others to be able to access them for years.
I never ask the easy questions do I?

The team could do with someone to help put together the curriculum, we value everybody's input, but as you say, your experience makes it easy for you.  I'll be getting back on this for sure.

If nobody beats me to it, I will post instructions for "How to build a LR course" - I was planning to write it for our Country Course team, so everyone can change the course according to their needs. (I will be building 2 courses, an infant course with much shorter lessons and the originally plan course.)

We cannot share .lrc course files even if it is smaller than 20M (the max upload size for .cat category files.)  I asked for this a while back and the answer was that everybody can download the .cat files they like and build their own course.  (With the instructions that you will find in the process of trying out all the options.)

How about opening a new thread Where members can sign a petition for the BK team To enable us to Upload or download  courses as after all it Hugely enhances the use of their LR software?

I didn't know that we can make our own courses until this thread came up, and I'm looking forward hearing how you do it.    I'll try to step up to bat more when you do your music curriculum.  I already have a LOT of theory-type images and what I don't have I know how to make.

@early learning17, I think it is a question of space.  Courses can potentially be a lot bigger than category files.  For instance, I downloaded all the Animal related categories and built a huge animal course with it.  It was a lot of work downloading, importing, filtering through everything, grouping things together, adding here and there and putting it all together as a course, but the size of the .lrc file is 444M!  If they allow that size, they will run out of disc space soon, and that for a collection of things that are already available in the Library.  On the other hand, my demo for this country course is only 80M, I would have loved to share that on the library and maybe gain more team members to help finish our course.

I thought there was already instructions on how to build courses on the forum somewhere? Maybe I got them as part of a beta testing..... Hmmm I shall drop a line to lappy. No point in you writing it if its already been done but someone certainly should if it hasn't!
Yes space would be an issue. I suppose we can always use the forum to ask if anyone has the course we are about to build then share it in other ways. I a guessing that animals course will prove popular! Plus anyone who does up language courses will get requests also.

At the moment our Library only accepts LR category (*.cat) and playlist (*.pl) files, so that means you won't be able to upload any course files. Course files tend to have very large file sizes too (e.g., your BrillKids course file downloads are about 1GB each), and this is another reason why we don't support course uploads. "Courses" are similar to "Playlists," though, so you can build your course in a Playlist format for now if you intend to share it with others.

Skylark and I are feeling so enthusiastic about future courses because this first one is going so well!  Things are moving fast, people are enthusiastic and I can only imagine future project running even faster and smoother.  We've been talking a lot about a Bible fact course lately, but currently we've got our hearts set on doing Math and Music programs starting from January 2014.

New members are always welcome to join, and this does not mean that you'll be expected to stay for other courses.
