Community Guidelines
ParentWeb provides a special community for moms, and we also welcome all parents as members, without regard to race, religion, creed, color, national origin, age, gender, disability or veteran status. We recognize and celebrate the broad diversity of parenting styles and experiences, and we intend to provide a respectful and inclusive network for sharing the full range of those experiences.
We want ParentWeb to be the kind of place where parents can feel comfortable sharing their thoughts. Towards that end, we have established the following Community Guidelines. We reserve the right to ban members who violate these guidelines or the Terms of Use, and to delete messages deemed inappropriate. Thank you for your cooperation and for your thoughtful contributions to ParentWeb.
Keep It CleanParentWeb discourages the use of profanity or obscenities in messages.
Be RespectfulHarassing or threatening other members will not be tolerated. Find ways to respectfully disagree. If your behavior becomes scary or offensive to others, we will delete your posts and/or permanently ban you from the site.
Help Us Build a Self-monitoring CommunityA link labeled "Report as inappropriate" is on every page of ParentWeb. Please use these buttons judiciously to alert site staff of any material you encounter on ParentWeb that you believe in good faith violates either these Community Guidelines or the
Terms of Use, or is otherwise inappropriate.
Pause Before SendingAlthough you may edit and/or delete your posts, it’s important to recognize that thousands of moms may be reading your comments. For those subscribing to community content, they will be receiving your comments by email. Please consider and respect the audience. If you feel strongly about a topic, take some time to consider your words carefully, and then respond respectfully. Be constructive and offer others your thoughts, ideas, and experiences, rather than using sarcastic or belittling language.
No YellingUsing all capital letters in a post is considered "yelling" online. Shouting doesn’t give more substance to whatever you’re posting, so please keep your voice down.
No SolicitationParentWeb is a trusted community for parents to grow a community and share knowledge between and among each other, peer-to-peer. We do not condone or tolerate messages posted by users within groups that overtly solicit members to buy or learn more about products/services. Self-promotion of commercial interests while using the pretense of asking or answering questions is strictly prohibited. If a member would like to promote a product in the ParentWeb forum, please ask administrators for permission first - you may do so by
going here.
No SpamParentWeb prohibits duplicate messages made for the purposes of marketing, otherwise known as spam.
