A HOW-TO Section

A suggestion for the forum since it is getting SOOOOO big and hard for newcomers to navigate through

How about creating a forum-section, under the Little reader part, for ONLY HOW_TOs, eg. how to create a category, how to upload a file, how to record your pronounciation...etc

Because a lot of people who have just got here are getting lost and from the posts I feel that lots of them don't know where to start, and it doesn't help that the starting tips are in the middle of a lots of other LR feedback

Ah, Nohayo - but we already do have a how-to of sorts for Little Reader.    It's all written in the manual.  But not to worry, once we finalize Little Reader, I will release How-To videos of the most important functions, so that instead of just giving you steps on how to do them, I'll be able to walk all of you through it.

You guys are going to love the video tutorials - Lappy has been spending a lot of time on it!

Maybe we'll also post the tutorials as Forum threads on a separate How-To board like Nohayo suggested. We'll see!

Oh those how to videos sound great !

And Lappy, I agree the manual is great for navigating LR itself  but not for creating categories, uploading them, guidlines for what to write in heir description...etc. These things are only explained here on the forums and some people just can't find them

As KL said, I think those videos you are making should be put aside so that they are easy for newcomers to find, and in the meantime maybe a compilation of the tips and how-tos that are already here on the forum If feasable of course !

Of course, of course!    We'll gladly do them! We are actually gearing up for new forum features and functions, so the way we navigate through the existing features may still change (especially the file downloads area - which will cause a major revamp!)

But we do promise more user-friendly functions in the future, I hope that you will stay tuned for them!

Yes, great idea Nohayo!

This will make my job so much easier! I get many questions about how to do certain things, and this makes it so much easier to point people in the right direction! (but of course, if you still need my help, you are welcome to ask for more instruction) 

I think it will also help a lot in the forums since so many people are looking for instructions on how to do certain things. Instead of searching through hundreds of posts or asking questions that have already been asked, everyone can go right to the appropriate board.

Thanks i just tried to doun load the social story of my cat that i did .when i asked u how is it that it is not coming where i dounloaded the other u told me that it is not yet appruved. it is appruved  maybe because it is on power point .thank for your patience but i never went to any courses and out of school over 30 years now .thanks again.

Yes, all downloads do get approved by administrators and moderators, unless something is wrong with it - when that happens, we will contact you directly through a PM to find out what is the problem.

hi good morniong it is 8.20 am  here .I receved a mass tellimg me to look for answer and it is telling to look for 1467 when i tried to go there it tell me there is an error how can i find it .please thanks.
