I do still wonder what parameters or factors the administrator considers when they review the files that we create and upload to the forum for premium status. also if our created file does get approved for premium status, other than receiving 2000 loyalty points, which is great… Is there any other bonuses we received. Such as placed in the we recommend category?
Skylark's last reply is exactly what we look into when we go through the files in our approvals queue -- do note that the approval process is done manually (by forum administrators), and we go through the queue once a month, usually towards the end of the month.
There are certain instances when we do not approve a file into the premium status (the file will not be deleted, rather it will just remain in the library with no premium status). While our criteria is quite flexible, we usually reject files when they have either or all of these factors:
> Media files have very poor quality
> There are too few media files
> The file contains copyrighted material
Do note that even if it's possible to upload LR or LM files that have copyrighted material in them, such files will never be approved for Premium. Also, upon the copyright owner's request, we do take down such files.
When a file becomes a premium file, the file author will earn 2000 points, and will also get 20 points every time someone downloads his/her file (this applies only after a file is granted the premium status). Also, premium files are indeed shown in the "BrillKids Recommends" tab in any of the downloads libraries.
