images for flashcards

QUESTION:  When we upload our flashcards, are we required to have the photographers or graphic imager's permission?  And, is there a site BrillBaby can recommend to get good royalty-free images?

For us, we purchased big batches of royalty-free images through various places, including ebay.  Some are cheap, some are more expensive.  One of our partners also supply us with many images. 

You can just do a quick search for "royalty free stock images" and you'll get many entries, though many will cost you.  (Royalty-free does not mean "free," it just means you don't have to pay license fees for it, only a one-off price.)

Probably the best site for absolutely free images is Wikimedia Commons:

Actually, I think I should make a thread about this on the Little Reader board too.

Thanks for the info here on getting images - I had asked about it in another place (can't remember where now!) but was still having trouble... I'll be sure to try out the website you listed.  Mayhaps then I can be happy with the categories I've tried!

KL, can BrillBaby Forum members access those large batches of images you purchased or maybe we could just submit requests for certain photos to go along with our nursery rhymes, etc?  Maybe you could make all those image files category files for us to access?

hmm... a bit impractical cos there are hundreds and hundreds of megabytes worth of pictures, and many of them are totally useless.  Will have a think and see what we can do...

I cant' found info how I can do when I'd like to translate some worlds from Br.kidseng. into polish or italian - I can use the same images?  And last thing: is here some dictionary for all languages ? It will be create? It could be useful for a worlds without photos pictures etc. or songs.

Some of my pictures for my flashcards are from my daughter's favorite dvds , like signing time , teach your baby to read , muzzy using copy paste while playing the dvd .
is there any problem with that ??
