He is 1 year 3 mth n 28 days We attend since he was, think 6mth old. I start doing home practice since he was 3mth old as I can't get a slot. He enjoys the class very much.

Anyone know any easy to use software that can edit the speed of audio? For example able to make the speed to 2X, 4X, 8X the speed?

do you do your own printing or outsource ? so far, i asked bormas print shop to print my first batch of flashcards. average cost is RM0.80 per A4. after that, i cut out and glue and name it.....sigh...a lot of work !
i heard of CISS which can lower printing costs a lot. Do you use this ?

I print on my own. Initally I wanted to look for someone who can help me to mass print in Malaysia to cut cost. As I heard it will be cheaper. ( I am located in Sin)
And yes CISS can lower the cost of printing, I don't use it as you will need to modified the printer and after that no more warranty. Just note that after you change to CISS the printer head spilt easily also. You got to bring down for servicing. It would be a great idea if you change to CISS as it will save you tons of money I am using more ink refill though.
I prefer to use flash cards as better interaction so I will print every few days or so. And my son response better to flash cards than those showed on pc or tv.
But I do use LR, LM and other dvd.

Thanks for your tips. Since my last posting, I have bought the CISS printer, modified which I think I will save a lot in the long term. The ink refill is much cheaper too. I can do the printing every day too. However, the downside is it can't handle bulk printing.

CISS stands for continuing ink supply system.
 
it is a printer system.  you will need a printer to be modified , all in cost RM270.

This is Wennie from TweedleWink. I rarely going through the forum but by chance I saw this thread tonight. I was not planning on commenting anything because of my affiliation, but I feel burdened if I don't say something here. I had been involved with Right Brain Education since my son was born, and is fortunate enough to learn first hand with the master trainer Pamela. There are so much I would like to share, but not knowing where to start.

One thing I hope you can take to heart is that "faster does not mean better". When we flash the cards, it is best if the flash card speed is the same as the heart beat of the child. Otherwise, it will stress the child (and parent) and the worse part of it is that it might hurt the child's central nerve system. Expose these long term, we might find our children have hard time to sit still, to concentrate, to have eye contact, or to slow down to carry out a conversation.

We as parents want the best for our children. Right brain education when not being done right, it might actually hurt instead of helping our children. When memory games are done too early before the left brain emerges, it actually pulls the child to the left brain earlier then it suppose to.

If we don't have a loving bounding relationship with our children, it doesn't matter which program we take our children to. When right brain experiences testing, competition, criticism, stress, repetition, etc it will close off. So be aware and be careful when choose a program for your child for many of programs are designed to satisfy the "left brain parents" rather then the warfare of the "right brain child".

i would very much appreciate if you could share with us, how to judge whether it's the right program especially in terms of right brain education?

i just sent my 1 year old daughter to heguru as well. and i read books written by prof shichida himself. and honestly speaking, i myself can't even judge whether heguru is the correct right brain program for my little girl.

my daugher is in heguru as well . what day is your class? mine is in thurs 10am. i've read a lot about both shichida and heguru and it is also very hard to make comparison. i've met some mother with 2 kids, 1 in shichida and 1 in heguru. some mother said both centers are very similar in term of activities, some said very different....haha...confusing isn't it?

did u attend the parenting talk by prof henmi?

hi. nice meeting you. that's good to know other parent sending their children to heguru. so that we can share and discussed together. coz i find myself a lonely ranger even among friend. some never heard neither heguru nor shichida.

i'm attending saturday class. as i'm a working mom. so far, i find the class is quite attractive and intersting. and my little girl really adopting well. and the biggest differences of my little girl after attending the class is she no longer that 'shy' little girl. she used to shy especially in front of stranger. she know how to wave. she'll only wave when the stranger doesn't look at her. in fact, she wave to most of the ppl. but when those ppl noticed her wave, then my little girl 'stunned' like a rock.

after the class, esp the section whereby sansei want my little girl hold her name card and introduce herself. my little girl really felt so excited. esp after her 2nd class. she wave good bye to the sansei and assistant. and on the 3rd class, she even willingly crawl to sansei and hug her. i expect few more rounds, my little girl gonna kissed the sansei (at that point of time, i won't know what the sansei gonna say, a slurpy kiss from my little girl?!?!).

nice to hear from you. actually i hope we mothers who send our children to heguru can have more sharing and interaction like those "shichida mothers"    their website and forum are so informative and parents are free to share or download their flashcards.
