Hi,
I'm trying to make videos for kids that teach them a little bit about science, a little bit about engineering and really just try to inspire them to play with the environment they have around them rather than consuming more and more digital content.
I'm currently doing this through home made marble race courses, in this instance wrapped around the theme of dinosaurs. I'm hoping the racing concept gets them engaged in the subject matter so that they want to try it at home and prompt parents to build something with them.
My goal in the future is to make each course a lesson in some type of science, and to also have small videos that have nothing to do with racing but just about building courses or explanations of friction etc.
Here is my latest video
https://youtu.be/pOnLTEsMcJ4I'm trying to ride the line of edutainment, where I don't want it to be too sciencey and boring but also don't want it to be mindless.
I'd appreciate you watching it and sending me your thoughts and whether it connected with your kids at all.
Thanks very much!
Michael
