We are starting to use right brain education to our son

Wah so many products. Is it the cheapest is LR?

Is it a good idea I start off with LR first if my baby likes it then I move on to other products. Which should try first, YBCR or TweedleWink ?

our baby starts with YBCR. I guess it helped her with a good start. She (age 5) is reading Roald Dahl and Enid Blyton books now.

The two programs are quite different. YBCR focus on introducing words to your child. Tweedlewink focuses on right brain training which is more on flashcards.

My son was exposed to the 'perfect pitch' training when he watches the DVDs. Every time he will voice out the piano pitch and I am amazed how accurate it is! At age 2, he is interested in all sorts of musical instruments. Now, he knows how to play a 1-tone harmony with 2 keys on the piano. Moreover, he already has a concept of an orchestra. I saw him gathering toys that play music, turn them all on while he plays the toy guitar.

All young children should be right brained up until the age of 6 or so.

Some sharing...

I have got 'Your Baby Can Read' DVD and play card set for a month and I tried it with my kids. My 4 1/2 old loves it and she can recognize the words real quick (the phonics lesson that she has from school helps, and this is one reason why she loves the DVD!!) My 2 1/2 years old son likes it too although he's slower in recognizing the words. My 7 months old baby doesn't like it...

This is a more left-brained lesson. It focuses on repetition. You are required to play the same DVD 2 times per day for 1 whole month before you can move on to another lesson. Personally I prefer developing the right brains for kids when they are at these young age, because this is the time when they can absorb lots of information like a sponge using their right brains. Having this 'skill' will benefit them for a life time. Well, since my daughter loves it and she can learn quick from it, I guess the DVD also has a good market.

recently registered my son for the tweedlewink course at Neo Damansara Malaysia. He seemed to enjoy his first lesson. I guess next thing is a matter of following it up with home lessons.

An update about my son for everyone on this thread: He turned 3 last November (yes  , time flies!!! feel like I am getting old...  )
He is attending a Montessori preschool. His teacher started him with 'practical life' exercise. Recently I was told that my son is in fact more capable than they thought. What he had been doing was not challenging enough for him and therefore he didn't seem to be too interested. One day his teacher taught him to do 'sound cylinder' (hm... not sure what exactly it is but it is a new set of more challenging activity) and he did very well! They are also surprised to see that he already knows his alphabets. The teacher's feedback was that he became more engaged and is more interested in learning. Now they are going to advance him to a higher level.

According to my older daughter who is 5.5, sound cylinder is only done by 'big kids' and she is still doing it in her kindergarten.

So... I guess my hard work is starting to pay off?
