The outcry caused 2K to embrace the inside-outside equilibrium system that we see now, and that's also prevalent in the
NBA 2K MT Coins League. Here's the trouble with the system that is inside-outside with. I'm a simulation man, but I have discovered the parameters of classes like Pure Lockdown, Pure Sharpshooter, and Playmaking Shot Creator somewhat too restricting, and it doesn't give the player options, or sufficient imagination.
Creating gamers will be fun, and I have always believed that the inside-outside system curtailed that a little for the sake of the competitive 2K community, which at this point, only constitutes a small portion of the game's enormous fanbase. I am a fan of this yield to an archetype system, but maybe not in the form of an entire free-for-all which allows people to make players as tall as Manute Bol, as strong and athletic as Zion Williamson, that shoot like Steph Curry, and who also manage such as Tim Hardaway.
That's not the answer unless 2K made it nearly impossible to attain such status--but that is a matter for another time. The new and enhanced archetype system enables players to create whomever they need, but with some respect into the history of basketball. There ought to be so or 20 archetypes. 2K should foundation each one on distinct player styles from guys throughout NBA/ABA history.
For example, there is no reason you shouldn't have the ability to create a participant whose attributes are on par with Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Bol, Curry, or any other player who has ever been. I believe the problem comes in when players create alien players who are 7'6" 350 pounds, quick, with handle and a wicked jump shot. That's breaking the game, and it commits the cardinal sin of disobeying the history and foundation of the game 2K is emulating.
Players should not start their journey with each of the skills necessary to make it to the top half of the potential of the arch. After all, others, and Jordan, Durant didn't come as the product into the NBA. Hone, they had to work on their matches and include abilities to become Hall-of-Famers. Through badge acquisition, attribute upgrades, and much more, 2K can simulate that up arch toward attaining their potential. Maxing out shouldn't be automatic
Buy MT 2K20. There needs to be some skill. It defeats the purpose if maxing out is based purely on spending currency and grinding a ton of time.
