Here is a website that I found that I have already posted it about the co-op but this I thought is a good post as well. Sometimes we fall into a rut with homeschooling, because if you homeschool in a state that requires so much record keeping, and test scores, etc we forget about actually having school outside or some other place.
Having class outside is a great idea that is if your climate allows you to. Even having a class at a grocery store is a great idea as well. We do all the time with my grocery list even though the boys are young they get to choose their snack for the week. I taught them early to choose what they wanted by pointing to the one they wanted out from 2 choices. It works well for us.
Since we are studying animals and there habitats we are planning a trip to a petting zoo this coming week, of course we take lots of pictures to make a lap book about animals and their homes when we get back. We are also planning to attend the festival that we are having here in our city this coming weekend. Festivals are great to learn about different cultures, and differnet foods!
So if you get in a rut, your eyes go crosses, your blood preassure may rise, take a deep breathe, relax, and think of somewhere to go and make it fun, do a grocery store mystery or beach archeology dig, etc.
So if you need help getting out of the rut try this
