Unschooling: Using a curriculum designed around life's experiences—purposefully done without textbooks or prepared curriculum.
Traditional Schooling: A homeschool curriculum from an academic publisher that includes material on all subjects children generally study in a certain grade. It includes all textbooks, lesson plans, and needed materials.
Eclectic Schooling: A curriculum made up of materials from a variety of different publishers, reading assignments, and other sources.
Unit Studies (theme units): Short, hands-on lesson plans that cover specific topics. These often fill in gaps or add enrichment to a homeschool program. You can download some of these for free, or you can purchase them with supplies and reading materials. Lapbooks, and flapbooks included.
