Infant Siddha Program

Please join up who all have done Infant siddha program(ISP) or want to do in near futre. Believe me it is greatest parenting program that I have ever seen. http://rsvk.org/content/category/5/21/36/

Basically I am looking for a community to discuss question and give suggestions based on my experience for this program and to raise kids. My child is 15months old.

Thanks for sharing.You know ISP do have mother and toddler programme , music and much more.It is conducted in there school Bandra and now even at borivli(west).

Yup we got to know it at the last class of ISP and thought about it, its called OGC (dont know the expansion of it).

When we came across, it was the first class and do not know the feedback of it. I know that it is about music, but not much. It will be great if someone can share the feedback. From outline it looked like it was costlier than music class where they get to know and learn about all instruments without paying higher fees.

My kid is 1+ years and I am planning for dance and music classes once kid is 2. Though I have a few music instruments at home, I will try to start her with vocal music once kid is able to speak with control.

Niddhi i dont know about feedback.but i have heard that they do everything including flashcards,music,excercise and much more.You can enquire if you want.I stay in USA.But when i will visit India i will definately put my son in that classes even for short duration.
Where do you stay in India??

Even I heard the same. Since this was the first class, wanted to know the feedback before starting.

I stay in bangalore. Here we luckily got the chance to visit Rishi Prabhakar's home, which is now an Aashram.

Hi Cema,

here is the link for location they conduct classes, I doubt if they have ISP in US centers. From this forums, many people have tried but seems they have only SSY program, which is not focussed on parenting.

They do have USA centers but it only for yoga.But if you want to enquire you can visit there site http://rsvk.org/content/view/114/61/. And they do have 1 center in California.But i doubt whether they have any center in New Jersey.
But still if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Thnaks for the response. I have 12 months old kid. I want him to start learning alphabets and numbers etc etc. what is the best method. Can you guys suggest me plz.

Cema you can start with 

Flash cards:  As per Doman method.Five cards per set

Little reader:  Use when your child is willing to see

Music & Dance: Use instrumental music when your child is sleepy or while playing use as background music and use rhymes or kids songs when you and your child wants to dance.

Coloring : Allow your child to use colors.

I have other plans. I am not just going to focus on doman or flash cards. As the subject of the topic says, I am gonna concentrate on ISP.

I think ISP is much more advanced that Doman. Doman methods are subset of ISP.

I will keep you posted for new Topics on ISP. Do you know there is program called ISP Teachers program?

Oh wow thats good that they have teacher's programme.What is the duration for teacher's course and what is the fees.I am planning to visit India in March at that time i will do that course if possible.I will be highly interested in doing that course.

I enquired the local ISP co-ordinator at Bengalur. I've been told a fresh batch of ISP training is scheduled to begin on : Sunday 29.03.2009 at 4pm.
The person on the line didnot give out any details except about course structure/content , fees ...etc to say that if you attend the first session, all your queries will be answered automatically.

I'm going to check out this weekend.

Yesterday I made it to the introductory pgm. of ISP.It was arranged by a lady who has benefitted from this pgm. She has a 20-month old boy and she was all praise for the pgm. She shared her experiences with the group that had gathered there.
The introduction was exactly what their website say about ISP(http://rsvk.org/content/category/5/21/38/).
In brief: It is a summary of DOman's research integrated with inculcating Indian values and traditions.

I was obviously very pleased to hear all of this. Mr Shailesh, who will be conducting the pgm. over 9-sessions, told us that the contents will be relevant until child is 8 yrs. old.

I was surprised to know one more thing abt. ISP programs - Mr Shailesh has been conducting ISP in Bangalore for over 3-yrs now and I have not heard a word about it in the media.

Well, those interested can still contact him because the first session was an introductory one(everything covered in the website).
