Hi

I am from India. South India, Vizag. Presently living in the US - Bay area, CA. I have two boys one is 28 months old and the other is 2 months old.

As with many other people education is very important to Indians. So why not start early is my philosophy and after a lot of research I have determined that LR is the best tool that is available. Would love to hear from other Indians in the board.

I am From Capital of India i.e. Delhi.

Hi,
I'm too, a proud Indian but currently living in Singapore. I always wanted to raise my child in a particular way (as our ancient scriptures say....education and most important the value's can be inculcated in child before birth) but didn’t know such things existed. I came to know about early education and upbringing a child with good value system from my friend...who did a course in Mumbai. Its been a great journey to discover n learn new things....I'm glad to have found LR & Brillbaby which makes things so much easier and my daughter just loves it.

Hi Barat,

ISP (Infant Siddha Programme). It is a combination of Doman & Shichida method with right mix of Indian culture & values. I think it's the best combination and what I was looking for and couldn;t have asked for more.

You can check the website http://www.ssy.org/isp.html They do have center's in Delhi (for yoga) but not sure if they conduct ISP there. you can call up on the no. given and check.

Yaa i did the same course (ISP) when i was pregnant and it has changed my life.It's just wonerful blending of Infant education in Indian culture.The best part of the course is that you have to go with your husband to atten that course.

I did ISP course in 2006.But i think they are mostly on Doman method.And not on shichida method.But they have come up with some new content. So are u aware about it ??

Hi Sapna,

True...its amazing if u really believe n follow it. I feel, the reading, maths and encyclopedic programmes, physical activities, learning to swim are as per Doman method but sleep talking, music appreciation and communicating with your child before birth etc are what is also proposed in Shichida method. Shichida method also has courses for pregnant woman.
I'm not aware of new content or any latest updates.

ok.So are your kids going to shichida's institute?? As u are in S'pore u have that opportunity to send ur kids in shichida's institute.

yes..that was the only positive thing (as per me) about moving to singapore....we both enjoy the sessions. The only thing i feel bad about is that home practice sessions don;t happen..

Anyways i'm happy to have LR and show the categories she;s interested in once a day.....

Hi there,

I am from india. i live in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. My son is 22 months old.
i started teaching him since he was 18 months old. i got to know about infant education thro a tv show
and found an institute in chennai that sells handmade flash cards. i purchased them for a high price but they were of no good quality. Infact they promote their website using tje youtube video of felicity and. infact,thats how is got to know about felicity and then little reader. Now, my son and i are addicted to little reader. he has picked up a lot of stuff.

I am from the USA staying in Mumbai. I really appreciate the emphasis towards families and education here. My wife is from Gujarat and we have three children. Our oldest, but actually the second (adopted) did not have to advantage of being able to use LR. But our middle child, who is 5 years old with Downs Syndrome, is starting to learn to read. The youngest at 13 months is not far behind as she watches LR with great interest.

It's nice to know that these kind of courses are available in India.
