Hi,
ISP is not just about flash cards. The course helps in you developing the child physically, metnally, emotionally, socially and spiritually. Its  really good and also teaches how to make ur baby swim.they help us in developing all the 5 senses very effectively.I just enjoyed the sessions.
btw can nybody gimme info abt superkids.I'm not aware of it
thanks,
vani

super kids is also a flashcard based method.
a lady is propogating it. They have a 2 yr program where they give 2 hr lecture every month, so 24 lectures in all, every month on a different topic like dental hygine, math, behavior, etc. they give a kit of flashcards also.
I have attended the initial lecture but wasn't very impressed with the lady who was giving the lecture.
I believe they have just began and are only operational in Bangalore.
I felt their charges of 7 K was unreasonable.

I wanted to know if the SSY prog also talks about photographic memory? what are the other ways to do so?
Also is it really worth it? My daughter has started montessori and they have a very different method (sensorial and not visual) of teaching. Should I be taking it up?
Can't the concepts taught in SSY prog be learnt online through various websites? are their techniques really practical and worth teh price?

SSY is different from ISP.You can attend in b'lore itself 'cos cost is double in online.I heard its 2,500rs in B'lore.
They have a program called mother toddler also,i did not attend yet.

I have heard about the aspire super kids - purchased program - and various mamis are propagating the flash card method. I have seen flash cards my friend got - I got it from her, but the pictures are small, and hence it is not worth the money... I purchased aspire cards, and made so many sets of category cards... I made thorough research and then only came here... I even imported book How to teach Math...the Glenn Doman method...

You know? even if we flash cards, - it is not multisensory - and we cant flash less than 1 sec. I m sure you know it is impossible. Here in LR or LM it is possible. And faster the right brain stimulation is better. And hence photo memory increases manifold.

the glenn doman method - of doing 30 sessions-a-day (in between session time gap should be 15 minutes) seems impossible.... the child will wear out.... also us... I tried for 15 days and quit...I think it is worth every ruppee you spend on LR or LM.... when I use I know that every thing makes sense in LR or LM....the number of times to show the word or picture - glenn doman says 15 is lots... so, here it is 12 - it is perfect right? also the swiftness, which is manually impossible... when you understand Glenn Doman method thoroughly and then see LR or LM, you will easily know the easy and perfect adaptation.... You should try this... there is also a trial.... I spent many hours reading forum here, and didnt try... I straight purchased this.

all the best!!

Someone in the forum said they paid 5500 for it. pls let me know

In India...most of the people don't like learning new things especially when it is beyond their budget. Sad i think.
but it's not their fault because from their childhood.they were taught work hard, study hard..and life is really very difficult..etc. and when the education becomes more fun.more joy ..people first of all they don't believe it and especially in laws,relatives..they start commenting on learning new things. blink But because of these types of websites..few parents are not taking any body's comments and most of the Indians are also showing interest in learning new things, and i really appreciate this site.

Finally..here is a valuable word..
Never compromise in your beloved child's education.you can compromise in buying clothes for them and also can compromise in taking them to the hotels etc.children are ''BORN GENIUS'' but  to recognize and to  bring out that great quality from children, parents need lots ...lots of home works.. to do.Actually it's not a home work its a home play.

In India early learning methods r not reached to most of the people, they r not aware, even educated people not ready to accept the success of early learning. If I give suggestions to my friends, they think I am overdoing or pressure the baby or they neglect that the baby cannot learn these things.

Hi
before thinking that why to give stress to babies by introducing reading or mathematics(dot cards),first of all parents should know what is joy of teaching? if parents really know why  teaching babies reading is important, then it will be very easy to teach the babies, and when it comes to the material..,it depends on how much importance you r giving to your babies education because in India though the gold rate is very high still people are buying madly, that means it is not depending on the cost of the material,it is only depending on ''THE IMPORTANCE IF TEACHING BABIES'' thats it.
As everybody knows that the children are born genius, and they r like scientists because if the parents doesn't teach anything, they themselves do lot of experiments and they learn from them,so Darling parents please become a good learners and start understanding why teaching is very important to babies,or if you really notable to understand, take the support from other mothers.
Thank you,for your valuable time..
Jessynaidu,
India.
