I have been doing the Doman reading program for the last 4 months with my now 9-month-old boy. Just bought LR. Must see how it goes.

Hi Shashimani,

Welcome to the forum.....I have been effectively using this website for the past 3 months I have twin babies who are 6 months and 2 weeks currently , I started with doman reading program before 2 months and have completed about 150+ words with my babies just before a month I have started with Doman maths using ppt ....also I show them YBCR videos I have completed the starter DVD and now going on with Volume 1 , I have not yet bought LR or LM its slightly in a higher budget now so will wait for sometime ...hopefully looking for some cost reduction....but then I make my own picture cards since in India those are available in an affordable cost...am also in process of gathering info for Doman Encyclopedic knowledge couple of month to go to start with....

both my babies are very interested in the word flash cards , they get really excited when I add new cards , sometimes I dont flash cards for 2 or 3days due to some personal family work etc...so on the day when I flash them the cards they will be very very eager for every session and infact keen for more such sessions even when they get the break for a day or 2 they dont seem to be disinterested ....their interests motivates me a lot in doing many more teaching things for them....I try to surf the net for more info on a daily basis ...

For all these I would say this website had been a key resource ...this will  take you to many links of your destination.......try to use this website effectively for any info for your baby ...

apart from all the above I also teach them classical music...try to do a lot of reading to them wenever possible , sing songs, recite rhymes, play games etc.....

most of the ideas I get from the forum members by posting queries...you have actually reached a right place for your babies needs(be it anything)...

not many in india are aware abt early learning..or flashcards..
or garbhsanskar..
there are these classes but only a few moms who are really interested in doing sumthing special from the rest find out and attend these classes ...people just find it tooooo much a show off to teach such a small baby...
well my relatives or rather my inlaws still tease me ..."so howz ur early learning going"..well i am not so regular with flash cards either.. was wanting to buy LR but still wondering if its worth the price..
coz i do end up gathering stuff online and outside to make these flash cards and spend more time that way instead of teaching him..
plz let us know

Hi Smita,
I also sail in your boat,my relatives and colleagues too are not comfortable with me in early education.They tell child should be left free so that they will have their own individuality(huh?? funny right?).We work for this and they simply chit chat abt this. I just ignore everything, whatever we feel good for the child,let us do it from the core of our heart.it gives great satisfaction..
I attended ISP (the one very similar to garbhsanskar) and learnt to make flash cards and though timeconsuming,i prepare it my own and i love to prepare too.I was also doing all these download stufffs and surfing a lot,but once you fix in a schedule you can just go on.
My baby loves flash cards now(which he intially refused) and i'm happy the way he responds with math dot cards and the books i read to him.Brillkids,ISP and many other sites and Sashimani has helped me a lot in my motherhood.

Hey great to hear from enthusiastic mothers.
My daughter is 3.5 and am wondering if ISP, Garbhasanskar or super kids is effective. these are all so expensive,.
ISP is 5K, super kids is 7K
I do not know about garbhasanskar, can u ppl pls guide me?
I am planning to have another kid and am not sure what to do?

   do you have LR & LM from brillkids? These 2 software's r great. expensive but worth it.
   I have done ISP course. its very good. After doing ISP I was showing both flash cards & dot cards to my son. for a few days he was very happy then slowly both of us lost interest .
  we enjoy LR & LM  a lot. its very organized & interesting.

we can get flash cards in the market also, what else do they teach.
5000 for just the technique? the super kid prog is 7ooo and they give flash cards as a kit, bt I donno if all this is worth it

I think people from India dont get much time to surf internet.And if they get time to surf internet they see that they dnt get much of the product there so they get discouraged and disinterested.
But as far as i knoe ISP in India is doing well.They have there own academy,products,mother and toddler classes, sometime they held educational books and toys exhibitions and many..But constantly u have to be in touch with ISP in some or the other way...
