Child with Down Syndrome

Just wanted to know if the early reader program is good for a child with down syndrome who isn't talking yet?

We've been using LR for almost a year with a little girl who has DS. She just turned 4. It is very rare that she will tell you what she knows. Recently, we moved her back to the beginning of LR because i wasn't sure how much she understood the first time around. When LR v3 came out with the games - we soon discovered that little turkey has been getting nearly as much as my child has. I was pretty confident she knew 40-50 words. I'm betting that she really knows several hundred. She learned to count forward and back to 20, and she is substitizing most numbers to 10. We recently started basic addition and subtraction.
