Welcome Dawn!
I am new as well and about to post my intro. Brillkids is such an amazing place isn't it?
So happy to see a Montessori teacher on here. I am just starting my Montessori research. I have a 9month old and I'm trying to figure out what are the best toys and game to engage in with him. Everyone says "blocks", but I want to get much more specific. Right now we do play with blocks, stacking toys, balls, lots of variations on rattles, a drum. He just got a toy kitchen for Christmas and some toy food to go with it (salad and fruit
).
Are there any toys/activities/games that are favorites of yours for the under two crowd? Do you have any books that you're familiar with that do a good job of explaining the Montessori way with lots of specifics? There is so much information out there!
Would love to hear your thoughts. It's so wonderful that you are teaching your grandchildren to read, they are so fortunate, what a precious gift from their Grandma.
