Hello:

I am very happy to be a member of this forum.      I am Mexican but now I am living in Switzerland (my husband is Swiss and we live in the german’s area).  My English is not good, sorry if I made many mistakes.    I will make an effort and try to participate in the forum.

I try to read the web page, but I have many doubts about the Little Reader program.     I use the Doman’s Method with a program in spanish (www.educamigos.com), but I am interested to find materials in german and english. 

If somebody, who speaks Spanish wants to help me and explains to me how I can to use the LR program in different languages (spanish, german, etc.), I would appreciate that very much.

Bienvenida al foro!  Yo soy Colombiana y vivo en en USA. Llevo ya algunos meses aprendiendo acerca de los programas incluyendo el metodo de Doman y Little Reader.  Creo que nos vamos a poder a ayudar bastante pues yo le estoy ensenando a mi hija ingles, espanol, aleman y mandarin. Entonces te puedo ir pasando la informacion en ingles y aleman que vaya consiguiendo.

Dejame saber cualquier pregunta que tengas. Estas en el lugar correcto para encontrar muchisima informacion valiosa y para encontrar respuestas a tus dudas.

Yo soy peruana y me encanta este forum pues te permite conocer productos y paginas web sobre idiomas y educacion temprana que son dos temas que me encantan. Tengo un nieto de 2 años y medio pero esta medio tiempo conmigo y a pesar de que no he podido comprar LR tengo entendido que es lo maximo para que aprenda a leer.

Para el mandarin he bajado archivos de LR y compre el set de Little Pim en mandarin. Tambien baje un monton de canciones en mandarin de este site http://nubeat.org tambien tienen musica en espanol (claro que no me gusto mucho). Tambien voy a comprar los video de Wink to learn Chinese una vez termine de usar los de Little Pim. Con Aleman la cosa es diferente, empeze hace poco entonces solo le he mostrado un par de presentaciones que habia aqui, baje cuentos narrados de http://www.vorleser.net/html/grimm.html y tome prestado Muzzy en Aleman de la biblioteca. Es mucho mas dificil conseguir materiales es Mandarin que en Aleman. Tambien habia hablado con alguien aqui para organizarnos y crear presentaciones en ALeman juntas y compatirlas, pero no me he organizado todavia con eso. Yo me he enfocado en ingles y espanol. Aleman, lunes y miercoles. Mandarin, martes y jueves. Y los viernes musica. Fue la unica manera que medio me pude organizar    En este link puedes ver alguna de la informacion que se compartio en una conversacion que empece acerca de ensenar aleman.

Mil gracias Joha y felicitaciones por lo organizada.
Me van a servir mucho los vinculos que me envias pues he leido sobre Little Pim, Professor Toto y otros para enseñar idiomas a bebes pero escapan a mi presupuesto. De todas formas le pongo musica en diferentes idiomas y espero que sirva de algo para que no pierda la oportunidad de captar las pronunciaciones. Por ahi lei en este foro que no importa que no aprendan el vocabulario sino que se familiaricen con la pronunciacion.
Estaremos en contacto y ya me contaras como te fue con Little Pim cuando termines.

Con mucho gusto. Mi nena tiene solo 6 meses larguitos entonces va ha pasar un buen tiempo para saber que tanto ha aprendido, pero tu lo dijiste en esta etapa lo importante es familiarizarlos con la pronunciacion. La idea es que en un futuro si quieren aprender el idioma lo podan aprender mucho mas facil y hay una alata probabilidad de que no tengan acento. No se si viste este post pero creo que tambien te puede interesar.

No se si tengas acceso a una buena biblioteca en tu area, pero podrias tratar de sacar algunos de los materiales de la biblioteca. Los DVD's de Little Pim no son muy costosos y con los puntos del foro te puedes comprar un descuento tambien si en futuro vez que puedes. A mi hija le encantan los videos.

I have many doubts, but I also want to share experiences.

My daughter’s  mother tongue is the Spanish, so that even before birth, we was founding a way for the adoption of the Doman’s method to our life, specially on the preparation of materials for so we decided to rely on the technology through a computer program that applies the method in Spanish, to give us the task of finding materials in German or possibly to make them.

Switzerland has four official languages: German, French, Italian and Rumantscha. Luzern in the region where it is speaking what we might call Schwiizerdütsch (“Swiss German" dialect varies from region to region). But the Swiss are taught in school to read and write in Hochdeutsch (German standard).  Many Swiss have told me Hochdeutsch regard as a foreign language.

  In Switzerland I was practically impossible to find materials, probably because I do not master the language, however, in the library titles "Wie Sie die Intelligenz of your Babys vervielfachen. Wer früh beginnt "and" Wie kleine Kinder lesen lernen ", are not available.

However, as already indicated Schwiizerdütsch (Swiss German) is the mother tongue of my husband, but my daughter was asked to read in school Hochdeutsch (German standard), therefore, see the need to develop the method in German and in English for practical purposes.

My English is not very good, but my German ....... leaves much to be desired (I'm currently learning), especially with regard to pronunciation.

In exploring options for developing materials in German, including the correct pronunciation of the word in the language, I found the task of reviewing new options that had been discarded, including the page BRILLKIDS at the time because I realized offering options for foreign languages.

I am interested to know what your experience has been applied to your child learns to read in another language other than English. If the program has options to operate in Spanish and English if the materials are subject to change or have to be created for each language.

Sorry for this long introduction, I am waiting for their comments and advice.
