Hi there,
Yes, as you've read in our pages, BrillKids software may be installed on UP TO 2 computers, which means you have two times in which you can download and install the license key -- you may always find your software installer, license key, and content downloads in your Account Management page, and you can keep re-downloading these as needed.
If you have installed two times already, and in the case of reformatting your computer, you can manage your activation records and simply delete the activation on your old computer to free up one activation slot. You can do this by following these instructions:
1. Sign in to your BrillKids Account:
http://www.brillkids.com/2. Go your Account Management page by clicking on the Account link on the upper right hand corner of the page. Select "Software Systems" from the drop down menu.
3. You will then be able to access your Account Management page for your BrillKids software. Go to "STEP 2: LICENSE KEYS + ACTIVATION" and view your activation records for your chosen software.
4. Delete the activation record you wish to erase to free up one activation slot.
After doing this, you may then reinstall your software on another computer. You may also keep on doing this as many times as you wish,
provided that you have only 2 concurrent activated installations at any one time.
Regarding your question about "download-only" vs "box set + download" products:
Aside from getting physical (or in other words, "backup") CDs of the software installer and content files, the box set also comes with printed copies of the 2 eBooks ("Everything you need to know to teach your baby to Read" and "Teaching with Little Reader"). Note, though, that some of our products (like the Little Reader Deluxe Kit) are only available as box sets.
As the name "box set + download" suggests, buying the box set still entitles you to accessing your software downloads from your Account Management page, so this way you have two methods of getting your BrillKids software. Of course, when getting box sets, you will need to pay an extra fee to cover shipping costs.
I hope this answers your questions!
