Have you gone through equations in Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division have you gone on to Algebra, have you taught skip counting and patterns and anything besides quantity dots?
Check out
http://grhomeschooling.blogspot.com. I remember the mom said she rekindled her son's interest with a puppet she called Math Lion. Make it fun and joyous,
Play a game with the Math cards, and ease off the dots. Maybe play with quantities and counting games.
Do fill in the blank pattern type games and give rewards and praise. (such as show the quantities 2, 4, ...8. and ask what the missing number is 6 or 7.)
Play games with foam dice and cards. Make math about more than the dots on the screen. Do comparisons and read books on numbers with the kids, or make your own book.
Tell a story about the numbers. Bring the characters to life tell silly stories about how
Mr. 67 and Mrs. 34 and how they make 101 of something, etc. Get creative, be joyous, stop before they want to stop and if you need to take a break for a few weeks or months from Math dots, do so.
Happy Teaching.
