Changing Little Maths to be closer to Doman Method

I wonder if there is a way that I can reprogram  my Little Maths to give Doman lesson  (ie just showing 5 cards at a time so child doesn't get bored)
I have been using little maths for a year and unfortunately my son doesn't seem to have picked anything up.  He looked at a card with 5 dots on it today and said that there were 4 dots and the other day he said there were 17 dots when there were only 6!
When I play little maths he just seems to drift off and look through rather than at the screen.  I think the lessons are just too long.  Also don't think that he has worked out any of the concepts such as addition and multiplication.
Are there any tutorials that I can use to get the most out of the program?
My son is 2 years 10 months old and has taken really well to LR and L Music.

I haven't used Little Math, so I don't know about how to get the most out of it.  But my husband made me a computer program that does the Doman math program. It isn't "Just Push Play" like LM, you have to enter what cards you want every week and add your own images if you want to change them, but it generates the cards. If you want I can drop box it and you can check it out.

I mentioned this is clunky, right?  So you make a text file with the numbers you want to show up as dots.  When you open "Slideshow" and then click Math, it will prompt you to open a text file.  Then it will show the dots and say how many its showing.  An image file needs to be in the same folder as you save slideshow.exe, and that image will be used for the dots.  Simple, like a dot, loads faster; just get one online.  If you put a ~ before a number in the text file, it will show the numeral.  An equation like "7+8=" will show the equation and its answer: seven dots, plus sign, eight dots, equal sign, fifteen dots.  You can also do "8=~8" or 8>7, I believe.  Let me know any questions!

Sorry it took so long; we had lots of Christmas stuff going on.  But we can't figure out exactly what's going wrong for you.  My husband used the dropbox link to download it with no problems.  He reminds me that your image file has to be named "Circle.jpg" regardless of what the picture actually is; that's what the program looks for to know what shape to make the dots.  But that would be a problem running it, not downloading.  Are you on a Mac?  My husband has only programmed for PCs, so that might be it.  Otherwise, did you get any error messages that might give us a clearer idea?  Sorry I couldn't be more help!

We used Little math program, following Doman recommendations! It is so easy to adjust it,and it is really flexible.

When you go to Play and Edit, you can change all the setting you want, then put "Override ON" and it is ready. The good thing, you can change everything for the whole course at once.

What we did, we changed everything to red dots for the first few months ( that way it was no distraction and my baby liked it), I changed the progression and how fast we went through all the cards. It worked really well.

Thank you so much for your replies and help.  Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you.  Haven't been on here for ages.   I still haven't managed to download your programme, Wolfwind.  I suspect the fault is with our computer or my lack of technical ability.  I do truely appreciate your generosity in offering to share with me though!
I have altered the settings of little math, Skylark, thank you. (Even though for some reason my computer refuses to do the upgrade that little maths has been offering for months now).  Not sure anything is going into my little boys had, though.  I have also invested in Starfall and that seems to suit him better but there we have the problem that he wants to do activities that are way beyond him still.
Anyway, just wanted you to know your help is appreciated!
