Hello there,
Yes, you can "bench" your icon sets -- the way it works is, all the icon sets you've imported will remain in LM even if you never really use them in your presets/lessons. I can't say for sure how your icon sets disappeared based on the information you mentioned so far, but here are some possibilities:
- Your Icon Sets were deleted from LM's Numbers Library (by accident?)
- You did a "Repair" of LM (via Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs) and the option to "Restore content to default" might have been selected.
Unfortunately, there are only 5 available icon sizes in the current LM version (small, medium, large, variable, and mixed), and only small/medium/large for the font size. In LR there are more font size options, as you may have noticed (100, 300, etc.). We'll take this "more icon/font size options" suggestion into consideration in time for the next LM version (won't be available very soon, though).
About the text size in the actual software, there is no option for adjusting that one right now (from within LR/LM), I'm afraid. You can adjust the font size, screen resolution, or the DPI settings in Windows, but this will not always apply to LR/LM because the sizes there are only set as such -- if I'm not mistaken, the "zoom" feature you mentioned is the one that works like a magnifying glass; this is different from what I have just mentioned.
As for font sizes in the Forum, or even in any other website you visit, there is a zoom function in most browsers which lets you increase or decrease the font sizes. Note that when you change the font size sometimes other elements in a page may or may not move around a bit, so you will end up seeing only a small part of that particular page, and not exactly the whole page. The shortcut for increasing the font size in your browser is CTRL + "+" (to decrease font size, it's CTRL + "-"). The other way to do this is to go to your browser's View menu and find the Zoom option.
As always, thanks for the feedback and suggestions!
