Is it possible to combine icons and numerals in LM equations (teaching math)?

Thank you for another great product!!!!! 
I am trying to go through the features. The program looks really great..
I am not sure it LM allows combining icons and numerals in LM equations when teaching math.  I could not figure it out.
An example: 1 (one dot) + 2 (numeral 2) = 3 (3 dots)
According to Glenn Doman -at certain level of teaching we should present equations that way (after a child knows all the numbers represented by icons and we start teaching the numbers represented by numerals, we should add to icons equations also combined equations (dots with numerals).
Please, advice. Thank you.

My guess is because it is harder to flash another big card easier to say it, but it might be nice to be able to turn off the symbols.

No, you can't do that with the current version of LMh.  Actually not sure if we will ever do that, cos it would be quite complicated, esp since you could have multiple items on the left side of the equation.

pupisek helo! (",) I advice you not to do that it might someday confuse your little one as they grew, remember your algebra class? you can not add two different values: say    2a + 2b = 2a + 2b unless a+a+b+b = 2a + 2b

Hi Wilnie, thank you for your imput.
Combining numbers represented by dots and numbers represented by numerals is one of the steps that Glenn Doman recommends in his book "How to teach your baby math".
I think that 7 dots is the same as numeral 7 so I agree with Doman that it is OK to do so. Moreover he says that this step is the "bridging" step of relating the symbols to the dots.

To bridge the gap, I would suggest creating custom equations and then showing it once with dots, then once with numerals. I think that would potentially be less confusing.

And what about function that allows just something like:
6 dots = numeral 6
95 dots = numeral 95

You should use the LEARN NUMBERS function and show 2 displays, first one set to icon/dots, and the second one set to numerals.

See the default preset called "Dots & Numerals".  The only difference is that there is no "=" sign. But I really don't think you need that to show the association between the dots and the numerals.
