Ok so I have been doing little math with my son, now 4, for apparently 58 days, and although I never expected him to subitize from it, I was expecting more math. I have used it to teach him left brain confidence with numerals to 10 and he can recognize instantly groups of numbers up to 6 or 8. He understands number quantities better than he did before, I assume this is from little math but it may not be. He clearly understands the basic addition that it is flashing at him now. Now the way I see it this program should be called little number. It is missing all those other bits that are part of math. Why doesn't it include shapes, patterns, measurement, time, fractions.... Now I have found shapes under little reader but if I hadn't bought it then.... I just can't seem to get my head around what a lost opportunity this is. I understand that my son is probably too old for this product but if it included one less set of subtilizing dots per lesson and one category from the other areas of math, it's value would instantly double and be more useful for older children also. I wonder if I should continue or if we have already got all we can from it. As I have it and paid good money I will probably continue while he isn't resisting. I would love to hear your thoughts. Oh and is there really no times tables files? Surely there is and I can't find them?
