THANK YOU, "dalis"!!! You have made my day!!!
I thought there should be a way, but I had no idea how to DO it! I never noticed the Auto Forward button, and even if I had, I wouldn't have known that clicking on it would turn it off!
This will enable us to go at Justin's pace and will allow him to participate, as he loves using the mouse to advance. Plus, after he has practiced a certain quantity sufficiently, such as recognizing 1 to 5 objects, I can turn the sound off and see if he can tell me how many. I could not do that with the Auto Forward, because it advanced faster than he can speak! He already can recognize numbers to ten, prior to Little Math. I don't know whether he can learn to instantly recognize quantities, being older. But since visual memory is the key way to teach children with Down syndrome to read, and he is doing so well with Little Reader, hopefully, with sufficient repetition, he can also memorize quantities.
