Voices and Faces Suggestion

A child's voice is more captivating to a child. Please try to incorporate a child's voice, male and female.

Also, try to incorporate more variety with baby faces. Specifically, skin tone and facial features (i.e., eyes, nose, lips) should show a broader spectrum to reflect global society.

I know I can add my own pictures and voices, but these modifications will be one less step (or several!) a mother has to do.

We'll get the child voice recorded sometime soon.

As for the baby faces, those were contributions from BrillKids members during beta testing.  Will keep it in mind and see what we can do!

Terrahmother, I like your idea about child's voice in little math.

My daughter is no longer interest in Little Math (day 75 semester 1). Now she already can press the Esc button when I run the Little Math program!
I have tried to use only the icon that she likes, change the voice between man & woman, but I still cannot catch her attention.
Yes, sometimes she pay attention when mickey mouse and friends appear, but only to call their name.
I also think maybe because of the voice are not enthusiasm like in Little Reader.
(She loves LIttle Reader!)

I agree about the child voices and the enthusiasim.

Also, what about making the icons a little bigger?

Hi everyone,

Just to update you guys -- we are currently working on new voices for LM

About the icons, there is actually an option where you can specify the icon sizes (small, medium, large, mixed, etc.), and you can also change the icon colors (either set a specific color, or make it randomized) -- the icon color option is available only for certain icon sets (like the Basic Shapes set).

You may find more information about the icon settings in the LM Manual:

• Number Preset Settings > How to Change Number Display Settings > Icon Settings, OR
• Math Preset Settings > How to Change Math Display Settings > Icon Settings

Of course if you want to make changes for all your LM presets, then it's best to do this in the Override Settings feature!

You may also try using other icons (aside from the ones that come with LM by default) -- you can either download icon sets from the LM Downloads Library here, or you can use your own pictures

Good suggestions Thank you. I'll look into all that. I was so excited when i got it, I actually kind of jumped right in without reading the manual, haven't even seen it actually, or watched any tutorials.

I have been downloading some new icon sets. The different color and size circles don't seem to interest him very much. The teddy bears and clororful spinning tops?? he likes.

 After we've been through approx 12 days, it interests him for approx. 1 of each to 1- 1/2 and then we switch right to LR and go for approx 10 -15 min. Then on to other things, balls, trucks, crawling , tickling .

Looking forward to the upgrades.
