KL, I plan on doing the Trial LM and I have a few questions based on where my son is with "math" My son did not seem so intersted in doman dots a few months back, however he was very much into numerals and can count to 100 and combine magnet numbers when asked to express certain numbers ie 74, 36,,etc. He can fill in missing numbers and is getting much better at "counting on" versus what he used to do -overcounting. He does have the concept that the numerals represent quantity etc. Currently I am working with him to understand concepts such as greater than less than, before/ after, etc. I would like to give the number dots approach another try since I understand that many people would argue that it has helped their children with calculating math problems quickly. I figure it will be worth it to at least give it another go. Do you think I should just start the LM program from the beginning or would you have a different suggestion?
