My daughter (18 months) has starting laughing every time an equation gets to the answer. She giggles and giggles. smile

Anyone else's kids do this?

And what do you do when you reach the end of Little Math? I don't feel like I have anything ready to bridge the gap between baby math and preschool math.

We are counting forward and back on an abacus daily and will soon start skip counting. She seems to be enjoying math more than reading and I don't really have anything ready as a next step.

My son thinks everything is hilarious at the moment! I just need to look at him and he bursts into giggles  LOL

I wish I had managed to keep up with the maths to find out, but I had to take a break for a while and now he is just too mobile to look at cards...

I'm thinking of getting LM, but it is quite expensive considering my son is already nearly 21m... I don't know if we'd get through any of the curriculum before he lost interest.

My son , (14 months),  smiles when i start to show him an equation, and usually gives a little chuckle either when he sees the equals sign or when he sees the answer.

I show them to him in the car (when my wife is driving)  - which gets round the problem of distractions and running (stumbling) around all the time.

I wouldn't say he finds it hilarious, but he is either finding it amusing, or is pleased enough with himself that he can't help his smile turning into a little chuckle.

At the moment i mainly show ones where the answer is less than 10, and only addition. For sums under 10, it can be easily followed up showing the same sum on your fingers.
