My daughter is almost 27 months old. We just downloaded the new curriculum. We had already done quantites up to 20 using LM. Today we started the new curriculum. She loved it and didn't want to stop, so we did 3 days of lessons all at once. I feel a bit nervous about the backwards counting. We have always counted quantities from 1 onwards in order. So it is a big change for us to see quantities in random or backwards order. Does anyone else have this concern? Or does anyone have info that would resolve my concerns? I worry that she won't learn to count properly. She has counted by herself in fragments up to 14.
Despite my concern, I'm happy that she enjoyed the sessions. Perhaps my concern about counting is ridiculous. It is much more important to understand quantities.
