Hello is it too late to be involved in the testing? I play piano and learned clarinet as a child. Really excited to build musical knowledge with LMs in the same way that we have been learning with LR and LM.

I'm not positive that this is still available, but I figured I'd try any way. I was in choir through the majority of my elementary and high school career, with voice lessons for two years. In addition, I've also played the piano since I was very young, and started the guitar about 6 years ago. I have a 2 month old daughter, who is already exceling in everything I throw at her I hope that if she is interested in music the way I am, she will also be able to read music very young.

Good morning.

I would like my 2 1/2 year old to participate in the Beta-testing for LM.

I play piano. My other two sons, ages 8 and 6 are currently taking formal piano and guitar lessons. Playing and learning music is part of our household routine.

We have a baby grand, a full-size steel drum, acoustic and electric guitars, drums, mini (child) pianos, recorders and harmonicas in our home that are always accessible and are often played. I expose my 2 1/2 year old daily to the baby grand by sitting with him and teaching him notes and playing familiar songs.

I believe my 2 1/2 year old is an excellent candidate for your musical testing program. We already have the music teaching dynamic in place.

We would like to participate too.  I play classical guitar, and sang in a choir for many years.  I have tried a few different music programs with my twins but have not yet found something that works for us.

If this is still open, I'd love to be a part of it!  I've played piano since I was eight years old and played violin through elementary school, and I can read notes.  I am looking for an early learning music program that first focuses on teaching basic rhythm and pitch and then moves on to learning an instrument, with more of an emphasis on learning to read music rather than rote learning.  Thank you for offering this opportunity!

Hello.

I have played the piano for about 5 years growing up (was in the jazz band), played the saxophone in middle school, and sang in the church choir when I was younger, then sang in the high school choir, and then did A Cappella where I arranged music for the group in college.

I can read music on key and write it too.

I have already enrolled my son (15 months) in a couple of music classes just to get him going on rhythm. I let him play with the baby piano, play songs in his crib at night, and sing a lot to him.

I am hoping that a music program could encourage my baby's ability to feel music, and hear tones and get "on rhythm"

I currently have had a piano and flute studio in my home for 16 years.
I've played piano since 1978.
I've played flute since 1981.
I also sing in choirs and play accompaniment guitar (chords)
i've had extensive theory training growing up and at Arizona State University.
Graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy.

Good news - we're almost ready to begin beta testing for Little Musician! 

(BTW, I'll be calling it LMs for short, to distinguish it from LM (Little Math) and LR (Little Reader).)

The not-so-good news is that this will be a CLOSED beta-test, meaning it won't be open to everyone.  But not to worry, cos OPEN beta-testing (open to all) will follow immediately after closed beta-testing.

For this closed beta-testing, we are inviting those of you who fit the following description:

- have a strong music background and experience
- play or have played a music instrument
- can read notes
- have an idea what you're looking for in a music program for children

If you are interested in joining this closed beta-testing program, then please reply to this topic and let me know a bit about your music background, etc.

Please try not to PM me instead unless there's a some real privacy concerns, as it won't be dealt with as efficiently.

Once we're ready to start beta-testing, you will be emailed details on how to download the program. (Make sure the email you use in your BrillKids account is one you check often.)

I've been teaching music and movement for early childhood for about 7 years and experience in teaching classical piano for about 13 years.  I'm good in sight singing as well. Very keen in joining the LM beta-testing.
I'm looking forward to see something that can train the young children to listen to tones and feel the rhythm, and at the same time enjoy it.  Would like my twins who are 2 yrs 3 mths now to enjoy it too !

I do not have strong musical background. I learned to play piano for two years. I can read notes slowly and I can play melodies "by pitch" slowly. I play few pieces on concertina. I am quite familiar with classical music because I listen it a lot. I also sing songs to my kids every evening, for years. I have no idea what LMs can offer but my son (1y 8mo) seems to be very interested in music; he is much more aware on it as my first child was.

Can I qualify?

Hello, I am so excited about Little Musician! I am a singer and have been since I was four. I play guitar and played piano when I was a child. I have been paid for singing at weddings, churches, funerals, national anthems at many professional sport events, and for a company that put's on shows at amusements parks. I give my 16 month old piano lessons, and ukulele lessons, with the intentions of starting guitar and violin very soon. I have taught him many notes from reading and just from the notes sound so a program like this is just what I have been looking for. Thank you.

Hi!  I am a professional singer.  I play guitar, piano, banjo, dulcimer, flute, and trombone.  I grew up in a music store and both of my parents are music teachers.  My mother teaches small children and my father teaches more advanced students and adults.  I have a baby who is two months old and he has a very good response to music.  I am hoping to teach him to have perfect pitch, as this is something I wish I had.  I would be thrilled to test your project.
