Hi Jezze,
I'm glad to hear you're really exploring every feature of Little Reader while trying it out!
Unfortunately, there is no copy-paste feature for creating copies of certain words in the current version of LR (complete with all the pictures, videos, and pronunciations).
What you can do, though, is to create a duplicate of certain Categories using the Import/Export function. This way you can create a copy of an entire Category (if you're planning to translate a default English Category to another language, for example). Otherwise if you just want to duplicate a few words, you may opt to create new words instead.
To create a duplicate of your Category, you need to Export it first (i.e., save a backup of it):
* Open LR and go to the Import/Export screen.
* In the Export section, select the Category you want to copy, and click on EXPORT button (at the bottom of the screen) -- note that exporting may take a while depending on how many Categories you're saving at a time
* When it's done, take note of where you have saved your exported file
Next step is to Import it back to Little Reader:
* Double-click on your exported *.cat file or by clicking on the "Import" button (in LR) and locating your *.cat file
* In the "Importing..." window that pops up, click on the "Show Advanced Options" link -- some conflict resolution options will then appear right below this link
* For the "Course/Playlist/Category name conflict" and "Word file name conflict" items, choose "Rename"
* For the "Media file name conflict" item, choose your preferred option, or leave it as is
* Click on the YES button to start importing your category
NOTE:
Notice that the "Automatically resolve naming conflicts" Import option is turned on (or checked) by default -- this way, when you choose to "Rename" conflicting category and word file names, Little Reader will automatically rename each file as "BK - Food 2(1)," "bk-food-fish(1)," "bk-food-pasta(1)," and so on. You can then change these file names later on (via the Playback screen).
Otherwise if you want to rename the files while importing them back to LR, just un-check the "Automatically resolve naming conflicts" option. You will then be prompted to type in the new file name for
each conflicting category and word file name that comes up.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you need further assistance.
Cheers,
Kezia
