What is i use the same PC, but upgrade the version to 2.0 and above, so i need to activate again? But the license keys won't work!

Hi, if you mean you intend to upgrade the Little Reader currently installed in your computer (say, computer "A"), the way the upgrade works is all your settings and content (including lessons, media files, license key activations, etc.) should get "carried over" to the newer version, so this means you do not need to re-import your license key again after the upgrade.

However, if you uninstalled your old version of LR completely and then installed the newer version, this may not work as described above -- by uninstalling and then reinstalling, you are essentially clearing your computer of everything so you need to install and setup LR from the start (the way you installed it for the very first time).

All BrillKids learning systems may be installed on UP TO 2 computers, which means you can use your license key two times to activate your installations on two different computers.

If you have installed two times already, or in case you have reformatted your computer, or you are reinstalling in the same computer and you find that you couldn't import your license key successfully, you can manage your activation records and simply delete one of your activations (or your old activations) to free up a slot for your computer.

How do you "carry over" the installation to a new version? Say my old version now is 1.6, i downloaded v2.0 and run the setup file... then it will guide me thru an installation process and after i am done, LR runs and its like a totally new software, Nothing gets carried over.

What i mean is, after the installation process, and LR2.0 runs, that version 2.0 is not activated. I tried to use my license key to activate it, but it can't work because it says the activation key has been used.

Thanks for clarifying! It would seem that in your case the upgrade simply installed LR v2.0 over your 1.6 without transferring your activation status into the newer version.

Since your LR 2.0 is currently not activated, please try importing your license key -- I can see that you've just cleared up your LR activation records, so you should be able to import your key successfully.

For your reference, here's a list of common situations when the license key activation will NOT work, and what we suggest you do to work around the problem:

1. Importing key while you are not connected to the Internet

To activate your Little Reader or Little Math license key, your software needs to connect to our server through the Internet. Please make sure that you have a stable and active Internet connection when you import your key.

2. Entering the wrong license key or BrillKids Account information in one of the license key import prompts

If you are manually typing in your license key, check that you have not mis-typed your key. If you are asked to log in to your BrillKids Account, make sure you have entered the correct email and password for your BrillKids Account.

3. Little Reader or Little Math's communication with our server is being blocked by a Firewall or Anti-Virus currently installed and enabled in your computer

Please try temporarily turning off your Firewall or Anti-Virus and see if you can activate Little Reader or Little Math successfully.

4. Activating using a key that has already been used/activated 2 times

If you have already activated Little Reader or Little Math in two computers, we suggest that you remove one of your activation records so you can free up an activation slot for the computer you are installing or reinstalling your software in.
