I second Patreiche- great file, thank you for doing this, I believe many of us were expecting Chinese files!
could I please ask you whether this is simplified or traditional chinese and which accent you have (or more simply, where you are from)- might sound like a silly question, but even with my less than limited knowledge, it seems i can sometimes hear differences in pronunciation with the dvds and cds I own. I know that Shangai mandarin sounds different from the Singapore one for example.

This is simplified chinese and a friend of mine added the voice for me. She is from the north-east part of china, a province called jilin (吉林). I am not as confident as my teacher is with my spoken chinese, but maybe in the future I will get the courage to add my own voice to the files   I am glad you like it and I hope to have the next one ready soon!! I fixed it!! It was the autoforward function. too fast.I am so excited..My daughter is recognizing more chinese words..I am really happy. This slide will help us to keep having fun and learning a third language.Thank you patience. good job!

I am glad you figured out what the problem was   I had that same problem before on another file so I don't know why I didn't think to tell you to check for that, anywho thanks for the compliment and I am working on the next one as we speak   Take Care!!!

Hi patience
if you're working on another file, could I make one suggestion?
My toddler loses interest if the word is not pronounced quickly enough with each slide.
I don't mean the word should be said quickly, but leaving no blanks before and after it. Just a suggestion....    Thank you for making more playlists!!

Hi hypatia,

You can remove the blanks before and after each word to make the slides transition faster. Under playback, go to the individual word settings, hit "edit," and to the right of the pronunciation, there is an "edit with editor" tab. Just click that and the Easy Voice Recorder window will come up. Highlight the blanks before and after the pronunciation of the word, hit delete, and save your changes. It is really easy to do once you get the hang of it. Unfortunately though, you will have to do it for each individual word. My daughter also gets distracted when there are pauses between the slides so I edit the slides before I show them to her.

Hello,

To all of you that downloaded this file, I want to let you know that I found a mistake with one of the characters. This file was meant to be simplified chinese, but the character for cat is in traditional chinese not simplified. I noticed it while trying to re-create this file using PPT. I do apologize for this and any inconvenience this has or might cause. FYI the charcters are pretty similar, the traditional character is 貓 and the simplified character is 猫. 

Does anyone know if there is a way to go in and fix the mistake or would it just be easier to do it individually?

I´ve just uploaded a revised version from your file. Now the word "cat" appears correctly with the simplified character: 猫

I hope you don´t mind about it. I´ve given you all the credit of the work (however the web only allow me to put 99% instead of 100%)
