Mistakes in Downloads

Hi KL and all,
I thought it would be nice to check (spell check as well as check the meaningfulness) the Downloads available to save us time and avoid possibly teaching the wrong thing to our tots. I imagine it would be relatively simple with English as a lot of people use those. I thought Approving Downloads includes that but have encountered some mistakes since I've been downloading more.

What should I do?
Would I "Report" the download in that case (what is that button for and who would fix it)?

Would I start discussion and point it out (could be embarrassing for the person)?

Write a personal note (not always have the time)?

It's good to be able to rate the downloads, but there are some great ones with just a spelling/meaning mistake I would not like to underrate.

Hi Nikolett!

That's actually a very good question. We do have a lot of file downloads that are not perfect, and may need some editing. I would greatly appreciate it if you can call my attention if you find anything wrong with the BrillKids downloads. For the others, though, we are not able to control the quality of the files, and in most cases, we need to call the attention of the author to help us fix them.

I would suggest to write the person though by opening a discussion about the file download, so the person can see it right away. I don't believe that it would embarrass anyone, seeing as we are all trying to get the best possible tools to teach our children with, and sometimes some of us need a nudge in the right direction.

Do feel free to open discussions - it will contribute to making the files better.

I agree with Lappy. Sometimes there are so many downloads to approve that we don't have time to preview all of them before approving them. So please, if you notice a mistake, start a forum discussion or pm the member, kindly telling them of the mistake.
