playlist too short?!

I have to questions:
1. is there a way I can make the categories much longer, with more words. I find 6 or 7 words too short.  How do i increase the playlist or the category to add more words in.

2. do you find the word flash more effective than the word and media.  I have only used the words as its quicker and seems to grab attention but I could be wrong.  (i understand that for the child its only a visual and not and understanding but for now I just want effectiveness)

any help would be appreciated especially for expanding the playlist to make it longer so i dont have to keep going back and forth in each session.

I think if you are creating a category you can make it as long as you want...
You can combine lots of categories in a playlist:
Go to Word Library, choose New Playlist,Edit and add them on!
I use only word flash for the words in her reader and playlists of all kinds of photos/videos plus words for entertaining and learning. Makes it more fun!

They are made short to keep children's interest. You can put playlists together or add words from other playlists by double clicking a playlist in the word library. you will see a menu pop up. Select a playlist  on the left that you wish to merge. Then you can select single words or the entire playlist in the middle column. Then you press the corresponding arrow button to move everything you selected. Now you will have playlists merged together.

This works the same way with categories.

I do not like word flash. I think it is important for a young child to see the picture that it is associated with. How are they going to understand what they are reading if they cannot put a picture to the word?

Hi Nhockaday,
Am I right to say that when I put few sets of flash cards into one playlist, it will not show the title of the flash cards that I am going to show on the show. eg: baby animals, parts of the body, colors .... it will just flash everything together.
