Very happy to tell you all that we have made great advances on this highly-requested feature, and are now implementing it.
It is part of an overhaul of how exporting, uploading (ie., adding of downloads) and displays of Downloads in the Forum works.
When we're done, it should mean the following:
1. You no longer have to tell us any details of your export files when you export or add the download - you just click Add a Download and we'll get all the relevant info ourselves!
2. Eventually, the above will move on to a 'one-click export and upload', where you simply select the Category/Playlist you want to export/upload and click one button without even having to go to the Forum, and we'll take care of the rest!
3. In the File Downloads area of this Forum, all downloads will automatically display all useful info, including:
- the words of each word file
- whether the Category/Playlist includes pronunciations, pictures, videos and/or picture audio
- a contact sheet showing thumbnails of a picture from each word file
4. You can preview all the above info again when you import, if you choose to
5. Clicking on the imported Category/Playlist to allow you to go directly to the Forum page of that download so you can rate it or make comments
The 'not-so-good' news is that not all the above features will make it to commercial release, and will have to wait until v2. The good news is that these features should be available for testing soon after commercial release for v2 beta testers (which will only be available for purchasers of v1 commercial and active Forum members).
