colors during playback

Just a little thing...
It might be my monitor, but yellow comes up as pale cream   
Is there anyway we could get a really intense/vibrant yellow?

Hi Katiejo! 

About your problem with 'yellow' - may I ask you if the other colors come out alright in your monitor as well?  Are you using the default Colors category from Little Reader?  I have just recently checked the default 'yellow' image and it comes out as bright yellow on my end.   I hope you can supply me with a few more details so we can help you easily fix this.

I couldn't help but post the Body Parts category right away since it was so in demand, and I'm very happy to find out that you liked it!    As for the "new downloads" feature, we don't exactly have one like that yet, but we have made it easier for you to access the file downloads section in the forum!  You can now see the file downloads list on your Little Reader, simply by clicking on the DOWNLOAD button on the program!

And to sort out the downloads list according to the date of when they were posted, click on the DATE link, and the list will automatically sort itself out for you! I hope it helps things for the meantime, and thanks for the suggestions!

Aww. I'm very sorry to hear that.  Maybe I can send you a new 'Yellow' file to attach to your word? I've attached an image file for yellow so you can try to open it first and check if it looks pale on your end.

One more little problem in the fantastic program...

When you set the background and font colours to random, are they supposed to intelligently choose two colours that contrast well?

The majority of the time the program does this very well, and I like that it changes colours as it keeps my sons attention and means he doesn't associate one colour with a particular word.
It's just now and then that it picks to very similar colours and makes the word difficult to read.

Also, is it possible to make the fonts random? If it is, how do I do it?

Hi Katiejo,

Well, yes, Little Reader is meant to intelligently choose the colors with enough contrast when both background and word colors are set to 'random.'  The only thing is, until 1.03, it hasn't been very intelligent about it!

Are you using 1.03?  This problem was meant to have been fixed in 1.03, so if you're still getting instances of poor contrast, then we need to give its IQ another boost!

As for making the fonts random, you can do this by looking for the "Font type" drop down box and choosing "Random".  It's right above the color box for "word", and to the left of "Font size".

Sorry it's taken so long to reply, I've just been swamped!
Yes the colours were still not contrasting correctly with 1.03, but I've just downloaded 1.04 and it seems to be fine (so far, to be honest, the incidences when the colours are the same are very few and far between).
I'll let you know if that changes.
The font one was pretty obvious, don't know how I missed it! It's now working brilliantly. Thanks
