Confusion over points!

Hi there, I am a little confused over how my points are adding up!  I had understood that for every upload - if it was a category - you got 100 points and in the Beta period it equaled 200 points.  Was this right?  I uploaded 13 different categories, my points were on 1400, and only recieved 500 points in total from my uploads.  In my calculations I should have normaly go 1300 points and during the beta perion 2600 points!  Have I just misunderstood?  With so little time left I'm suddenly feeling quite discouraged...

I have personally checked our records and tallied up all of your points. Your points are justified, because this is how it should go:

  • Uploading a "CATEGORY FILE" to the library = +100 points (This is already doubled)
  • Each time someone downloads a file you made = +10 points (This is already doubled)
  • Post a reply = +16 points (This is already doubled)
  • Create a new thread = +20 points (This is already doubled)

Now, for every person who downloads your file you will supposedly get 5 points. (doubled during beta testing period)  If for example I download your file three times, you will only be credited once for my download - this is because our system counts Download PER User.  Also, if a person downloads his or her own files, there will be no points awarded.

   No need to be discouraged though - the points system will still be in effect even beyond the beta testing period of Little Reader.  So even if the points are reverted back to their original system (halved what they are right now) you will still be able to earn your points and eventually get Little Reader for free!

Or, judging by your existing number of points (plus 5,000 if you have completed and answered the Beta End Survey) you can already afford to redeem a hefty discount coupon from our Forum Shop (when we go live soon) so you can get Little Reader at a very affordable price!

actaully, i finished the survey and i am not seeing the points - i really would like to be more active but as the mother of a 15 month old and a 5 week old, there's only so much time...
can you please check the survey thing, though? i talked to some friends who are interested in LR and maybe i can score some points that way.... would definitely like the program. If you read this, also send license extension code. thanks...

Hi Wan!  I checked our system for you, and your account has already been credited the points.  Kindly check your points by going to your Account Management page: Hover over the ACCOUNT link on the upper right-hand corner of this page, and on the drop down menu, select LOYALTY POINTS.

Also, please understand that you do not immediately receive your points after uploading - an administrator or a moderator has to check your file upload, and once approved, the system will credit you with the points.

Hi meandlinc!  I've checked our survey system, and it says there that you were not able to complete your survey  It would seem that you were unable to fully complete our survey, or perhaps you closed your browser before submitting the data.  I will confer about this issue with KL, and will PM you an answer as soon as I can.

I have the same problem again. I've uploaded 3 slide shows to the library, but after the approval I received only 30 points.    I thought I should receive 90 points for that. Can you please check it out again.

Hi.. i have problem on my point as well, because i did refer my friend to use the Little reader, and they did told me they have sign in to the forum as well. But I check my point still same and 1 friend is still not in my referral list. So is that a limit to refer a friend?

Regarding the referrals, please refer below:

4.) Referral Bonus

You gain referrals by promoting the BrillKids Forums to other people.  When a friend you have referred to our site signs up through your referral link, you automatically receive points!

Refer a user = +300 points*
*You will only receive the points for your referrals after your friends have confirmed that they have registered, and have made a minimum of 5 posts to show that they are active in the forums and not fake accounts.

Your friend may not have met the minimum 5 posts just yet so you aren't being credited with your referral bonus at this time.  Please do remind them to be active in the forum, so that you can get your referral points soon!
