You know what, you have just unknowingly uncovered a bug!! Well done - another karma point to you!
Actually, there IS supposed to be a relatively easy way you could do it, and I was actually going to make that part of Tip #3, which was using the Ctrl, Shift and Ctrl-Shift keys in various instances. Then I tried it out and discovered it doesn't work anymore!
I think something changed in the current build which accidentally disabled this function and which also is the same reason the up/down buttons give off that "DataSource property" error.
Anyway, how you were MEANT to do that is this:
1. Create a NEW Category with a slightly different name. (First make sure you are viewing Categories and not Playlists)
2. Go back to the original Category you want to copy from, where you have all the word files displayed.
3. Select whichever files you want to copy into your new category by using the Ctrl, Shift, or Ctrl-Shift keys. These are standard selection tools in Windows. If you're not familiar with them, holding down Ctrl will allow you to select other items one by one (eg., 1 is already selected, you can then select 2, 5, 6, 8, etc.). Shift will allow you to select a RANGE of items. (eg., 1 is already selected, and you hold down shift and click on item 8, then items 1-8 will all be selected). And if you'd like to eg. select 1, 3-6, 8, 10-15, you would use a combination of Ctrl and Ctrl-shift.
4. After you have selected the items you want to copy, hold down CTRL, and click and drag the selection and drop them into the new category. While dragging, you will see a
- sign appear next to the cursor, to let you know you are copying instead of moving. (Holding down Ctrl to copy while dragging is also a standard Windows tool.)
Yes, you are supposed to be able to move items around as well, but unfortunately, this function, along with the copying function, seems to be broken right now!
Will get it fixed for 1.04!!
