Do you put Little Reader on your TV?

Our "PC" (Mac with bootcamp and windows) is at least 10 ft from our TV, in another room.

I'm positive that my kids would watch it more frequently if I could put it on our huge TV.  It offers much more comfortable viewing.

My husband would prefer to do it wirelessly, and I'd prefer to do it the cheapest way.

Are you currently using that? Don't you need an adapter as well? 

I do have an apple tv.

No, I haven't tried it yet. But I know it connects a MBP to a TV. I don't know how to do that with an apple TV. You can check out all the cables here: http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_mac/mac_accessories/cables?s=topSellers

Many of them are for apple TV, but I don't know about the cord length.

I show my son LR/LM on TV sometimes...and we also do IXL math on the TV because he is too young to use the mouse. He will point the answer on the TV screen, and of course he has left lots and lots of hand prints..

I use NetGear pushTV (wireless) and my operating system is Microsoft Window 7.

It works well and sometimes I left my computer in another room while I let him watch some youtube vdos on the TV.

I just attached the Netgear adapter on my TV. Then install the software on my computer.
Whenever you want to use it, you just need to link your computer and Netgear together through the software you installed on your computer.

Whatever you do with your computer will appear on TV screen. My son did IXL, and sometimes watch youtube vdos thru Netgear.

I've decided to directly connect our new HDTV to a computer via cable. The HDMI cable itself was under $10 on Amazon. I also got a remote control for the computer, also on Amazon. I don't remember the model or brand of the remote of the top of my head, but it was around $30. I could check it out if anyone is interested. This way, you can display absolutely anything you want on your TV as it essentually functions as a huge monitor.

This is the most versatile and fast way I could find. I can watch absolutely anything from my computer, including free HULU shows on my TV or stream from Netflix or other services without having a TV with wireless connectivity or having to use applications that came with our TV, which are buggy. This is a relatively new technology, so there are a lot of things to work out. In the first month we had our TV, the company's server went down twice, so all the widgets on TV disappeared. 

After testing out the setup with our old laptop and liking it, I bought a media PC from Dell, Zino HD. It works great and is optimized to be a home theater PC. The cheapest configuration is $300. I can now check my email and Facebook on my TV as well as show all digital content I have on my computer. The computer is connected to my wireless network at home so that I can show any content on TV that I have on any of my home computers.

I haven't tried Netgear adapter mentioned in the previous post, so I don't know how it works, but it sounds like a good solution as well. The devices that I did look into all had limitations as to what types of files they could stream to the TV. They also had their own user interfaces, and I didn't see the point why you need it and why you can't just show the exactly the same thing as I have on my computer.

Also, I saw somewhere that Intel is coming out with a new computer chip that supposed to wirelessy connect to your TV, so that may be another way to do it.

PS - with the setup like I described, you can also watch TNT shows the next day after they aired on your TV and stream from any web site on your TV without any restrictions. A lot of people get rid of their cable or dish subscriptions, and we're considering that as well. You can watch shows on your schedule without the expense of a monthly bill or even a need for a DVR. You can stream news, sports shows in HD from Zino HD (provided that the web site is streaming in HD).  We got Zino HD for $399 with 1 TB hard drive so now I can put all my DVDs on it without having to buy a HD DVD player as Zino comes with a DVD drive.

I've decided to check out Netgear Push2TV adapter in hopes that may be I can use it to stream to my second TV, but turns out that it works only with laptops. Zino, the Dell computer I have connected directly to TV, is essentially is a desktop. So, I guess I'm out of luck

 In addition, the adapter will only work with selected laptops as noted on their web site:

So, I'd check this list first to make sure that your laptop is comparable.

I'm currently looking into media extenders as a solution to stream on the second TV, which is another room, so connecting it directly is not an option. If someone knows of a more universal solution, I'd love to hear from you.

Our TV does not get used as a TV anymore because we attached the computer to the TV screen so we use LR on there too.
