Does little reader works on mac

HI friends i have a 2yrs son and i want to buy little reader want to know if little reader works on any of the mac laptop... Are there any one using this on mac and is it working fine..

While Little Reader is not designed for it, several of our forum members successfully use it with Bootcamp. Skylark posted some links below.


Have you downloaded the free E-Books yet on the home page? There are 2, one each for reading and math. Definitely worth a read while you figure out the technical issues.  Also, there are some free power point downloads you can use in the mean time (You can view power point sideshows on a Mac, correct?), so check out the downloads area if you have not done so already.  Good luck & welcome to the forums!

I am successfully using it on Mac with Bootcamp, I also used it shortly with Parallels, but went back to Bootcamp arrangement, as it worked better for me.

Bootcamp also better in a way that it is a free program, it is built into your MAC OS, so you do not need to search for it, download it and buy it. All you will have to do is to have a copy of Windows that is recommended for usage on MACs. Some like Parallels better ( another program that will allow you to use Windows on Mac in order to run Windows programs), but you will need to pay to get it and in my opinion it was not much better.

I use parallels and it works good with mac...don't know about others though...you can put it in coherence mode and you don't even have to switch back and forth...once u click on an application, it opens it in whatever medium it requires.

Like what the others said above, our BrillKids Learning Systems currently require a Windows-based PC for installation and do not officially support Mac operating systems.

However - and this is the good bit - we do have quite a few users who worked around this compatibility issue by installing Windows on their Macs via BootCamp, Parallels or other similar software and they have been using our programs on their Macs for quite some time now.

Just in case you're interested in getting the full reading curriculum on your mobile device (iPad, iPhone, iPod) we have an iOS app (Little Reader Touch) which allows you to get a full one-year curriculum to download to your iPad or iPhone, but this will require that you already have a licensed version of the Windows software in order to access it. To get the full curriculum on your app, you will need at least a Little Reader Basic license and iAccess.

Hello everyone, Thank you for all your useful information. I have been reading the links, but i am a little reluctant to start messing with bootcamp-assistant since i do not really know  how to assign the part for windows  safely. they guide you step by step on how to do it, but they also warn you that if you are not careful you can lose the data on your mac. i am just afraid of messing with this option and lose my data.I am naive in this matter.

I am very interested in Little reader, but this seems complicated for me. i do not want to buy the program, and not be able to use on my computer. .

I've done it myself a few times, on my Mac and my Husband's Mac. They have to warm you, just in case, but in reality it is a very very simple step by step process. You always given a warning of what is about to happen. You print out the guide and just follow instructions!

I dont know much technical stuff on programs and all, but it was much easier then installing some of the programs out there
